Looking Forward to 2021 with a Renewed Dedication and Commitment to Human Rights and Equality
"Our original guiding stars are struggle and hope" -- Pablo Neruda

What a year 2020 has been. In the middle of a global pandemic and widespread economic and political upheaval we have kept going with an agility that is a testament to our dedicated team, the activists we support and our growing network of allies who have put their power behind our campaigns.

And we did it all while working remotely to protect the vulnerable and stand in solidarity with front line workers.

2020 has changed everything and we are prepared to meet 2021 with a renewed dedication and commitment to human rights and equality.

Our tactics are changing, our ways of working are adapting and we have big plans for the new year to drive forward campaigns on the right to housing, income, health, migration and digital inclusion.

But for now, everyone in PPR is taking a well-deserved rest to be with friends and family. To shut down the laptops, tablets and phones and switch off.

If you are involved in PPR campaigns and need updates or support during this period please remember to:

  • Keep the paper trail going - email the authority responsible and get their position on record
  • Monitor their response - gather the evidence of what they say and what they do
  • Prepare for action - if you can wait, we can pick this up with you in 2021. If not, take action now. Public pressure leads to change so use your social media platforms to put pressure on if you’re getting ignored.

If your situation is an emergency and you need support urgently we have prepared a handy list of contacts who may be able to help.

Bye bye 2020 - see you all in 2021 :)
