#BuildHomesNow Goes to Cape Town
This video gives a glimpse into the #BuildHomesNow trip to Cape Town in autumn 2019, where Elfie, Jenna and Ryan got to share skills and experiences with housing rights campaigners in South Africa.
In October 2019, Elfie, Jenna and Ryan from Build Homes Now went to Cape Town to share knowledge and experience with members of local housing justice campaign Reclaim the City and international trickstervists The Yes Men. While there they witnessed grassroots resistance to evictions and enforced homelessness, and helped to stage a mass action against local housing policy reminiscent of the Apartheid era.
